The art of Putty Glazing is the application of a smooth bead of window
putty that is aesthetically pleasing as well as adding a layer of
insulation between the glass, frame and the environment.
This technique has all but been replaced by modern materials and
silicone but a growing demand in the "Old World" look of
metal framed doors and windows
has seen a resurgence of this mostly forgotten trade.
